The Good News


A
s we lead to the moment we have been talking about, I will attempt to touch on the subject of The Messiah many times. Jesus Christ, King of the World, the Word of God, the Mighty God, the Prince of Peace. Known by so many names, one loses count. He is the loudest silent witness to the awesome love of the Creator! A witness that men may see, hear and feel Him who is Spirit.
God is a Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth. (John 4:24). How can we worship, if we do not know, and how can we know without understanding? The book of Proverbs, written by Solomon, states: Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. (Proverbs 4:7).
          The good news of the Christian gospel has not been shared enough, and when shared has been watered down occasionally. Despite the clear authority which various aspects of the Good news bear (the authority of Almighty God), there is no clear authority for the watering down. It sounds like an attempt at modern day marketing. However, from Easter Sunday, we are embarking on a 353-day journey of deep understanding. I am as much part of this study as those who will take the time to enroll. In the next few days, I will also post study tips which will help us navigate the terrain effectively.
         Our hope and our prayer is that the Risen Christ will perfect the work which He started in us when He called us into His light and that He will set us up on the mountain top, that His glory may shine through us and be of great effect in our Community. In Jesus’ name is our prayer. Amen & Amen.

Adieu 2014

        As the year 2014 quietly faded into the celestial archive to which all years eventually go, I became conscious of the presence of God. I have progressively, by His grace grown in sensing His presence over the years. By His Spirit, God makes His presence felt.                    The writers of the Books of the Holy Bible, inspired by this same presence, gave us so much insight into how the presence may be sought. I spent the last few days of 2014, seeking the face of God even more intensely. Why do this ? Knowing that 2014 was going to fade into memory, without a residue. It was necessary to ride the transition on a more concrete assurance of the presence of God, than on a fading memory. The Holy Spirit was my comfort through the fast fading year, and He will still be the lifter of my head in 2015!           In the Book of Romans, this same Spirit of God, moved Paul to write in verses 27 & 28 of Chapter 8:              "And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth w

A Day the Lord Has made

A BRIGHT NEW DAY  Everyday we wake up in bed, is a  new opportunity. We may have brought some old stuff through the night as we tossed and turned, However  in all reality, the day is new because the rays of the new day's sun bathe everything in a new perspective which demands a new reality. In my book  A BRIGHT NEW DAY,   I explore this paradigm to great lengths. We all need to see each day as a fresh opportunity, full of potential. Then, we have a chance to use the building blocks we have to a greater advantage and a successful outcome. So, how do we plan to use this insight? FIRST Go to bed with expectation. Tomorrow is going to present a fresh start. A better approach and a wiser choice. The mistakes, the misteps, the misunderstandings of today were meant to clarify certain issues and lead us into the paths of righteousness.
