Beyond Rabbits, Candles and Cakes.

God knows in totality. (Omniscience). He knows what is, and that which is yet
to come. Beyond the memories and the historical records, He knows what was, and
even beyond eternity past.
I
spent a quiet Resurrection Sunday, reflecting on the immensity of the Christ
Gospel. I found confirmation again, that beyond what the human mind could ever fathom, dwells the simple and
gentle all powerful eternal truth of the Christos.
When three Magi tracked the
celestial omen in the night sky for many years, when they, taking advisement
from the Angelic hosts were able to circumvent the plots of Herod, king and
assassin, there was a Divine fiat established out of Heaven the Mission control Center
for the Prince of Heaven’s journey into the midst of mankind (Immanuel).
Predicted
in Psalm 91 and used by Satan at our Lord’s temptation (He shall give His
Angels charge over thee), we see that snapshots of this
Divine entrance had been placed with key players at different times. Just as the Superstar of theater prepares to come to center stage for opening night, and long before,
crews of artisans and support staff network to make the grand entrance,
performance and final exit a memorable event.
Every
player had a supporting role. Judas had his, the Pharisees had theirs, Pilate
without knowing, was central to a key facet of the Divine production. His
verdict was crucial, if the blood of the Lamb of God was going to be applied to our sins as
Heaven directed.
No eye has seen, no ear has
heard, nor any mind conceived the immensity and totality of this Divine
production. With the world population, currently at an estimated 7.5 Billion
people, 31% of whom are Christians, the Christos has touched more lives than
anyone could imagine. From the Judases who would betray Jesus, the Herods who would
seek to kill Him or His followers, to the Sauls who in their antichrist mission
would have an encounter which would turn the whole mission ‘south’, the Prince
of Peace has been true to His nature. He and the Father are one. He came that
mankind may have life and in having life, have it more abundantly. The atheists
in trying to douse the light of this Gospel, have flown too close to the Sun
(Son) and burnt their ‘wings’. Just as every moth learns through experience,
the darkness cannot overcome the light. In Greek mythology, Icarus was foolish
enough and burnt his wings too!
Unlike the center-stage superstar though, Jesus' exit at crucifixion
was the much-needed entrance the world needed. As the Bible says: The entrance of thy words
giveth light, it giveth understanding to the simple (Psalm 119:130). It brought
understanding to those who would repent and in humility, seek an all knowing,
and loving God.
This crucifixion has Divine
dimensions. On the third day, the one they tried to exterminate, rose again from
the dead, fulfilling His own prophecy, and declared victory over death to all
eternity. The Messiah restored the temple after three days.
Rabbits,
Candles and Cakes will pass away, but not one word from the pronouncements of
God will.
