AT A TIME WHEN WE NEED REFRESHING
The potency of God's Word starts in  belief. We know that  belief is a fundamental step towards developing  an active faith, without which it is impossible to  come into a  relationship with God.
Almighty God is more than our friend because He knows us, He created us, is always with us and loves us with His eternal love. Author Temitope Ogunsakin has explained the renewal and restoration that takes place in this loving relationship with the Word. Jesus is the Word and He is God. He is many things to a Believer even as a deeper understanding evolves within the journey of life. This is made possible as His Word lights our way allowing us to  arise and begin to shine with an inner light of understanding.
Apostle John describes this light in the first chapter of the Gospel according to John as " That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world" John 1:9.
'Renewed and Restored' is an easy-read which is logically structured  to enable an  effective scaffolding of every reader's understanding. With well-designed graphics, the author appeals to a neuroscientific processing such that a deep understanding is ‘coached’ rather than ‘taught’ throughout the book. When adults are coached in this manner, they actually construct their understanding in a way that makes learning effective.
‘Renewed and Restored’ is a good book for growing new believers and training in  discipleship as it provides a revolving lens  which helps in reviewing individual experiences. The book  will be of great benefit to individual readers or the members of small study groups.

Adieu 2014

        As the year 2014 quietly faded into the celestial archive to which all years eventually go, I became conscious of the presence of God. I have progressively, by His grace grown in sensing His presence over the years. By His Spirit, God makes His presence felt.                    The writers of the Books of the Holy Bible, inspired by this same presence, gave us so much insight into how the presence may be sought. I spent the last few days of 2014, seeking the face of God even more intensely. Why do this ? Knowing that 2014 was going to fade into memory, without a residue. It was necessary to ride the transition on a more concrete assurance of the presence of God, than on a fading memory. A BRIGHT NEW DAY  Everyday we wake up in bed, is a  new opportunity. We may have brought some old stuff through the night as we tossed and turned, However  in all reality, the day is new because the rays of the new day's sun bathe everything in a new perspective which demands a new reality.
